I choose the waratah because it is a beautiful and colourful Australian flower. It is also the floral emblem of New South Wales, and it stands out because of its bright red colour and unique shape.

I consider Don't Dream It's Over a very lovely song because the slow yet emotional nature of the tune combined with the fact that the vocalist is both calm and contemplative makes this song very soothing. The lyrics are encouraging you to remain positive when times get hard which helps to create a thoughtful and relaxed feeling for me when I listen to this song. I also believe that Crowded House is one of the most known bands to come out from Australia and that their music can be enjoyed by people in any emotional state.

I picked Australian rock group Powderfinger because they were popular back in the 1990s and 2000s and had some great songs with strong feelings. A song that I really enjoy is 'Pick You Up не' - the guitar sounds awesome and the melody sticks in your brain!
